We asked our dear friend Cheryl (Some Kinda Vocation) Dunn to shoot a little film of Gary Panter talking about his book. It’s our own little infomercial. Thanks Cheryl!
Gary’s show opened a few weeks back at Clementine Gallery. Here’s a look at how it all went down.

Gary Panter is hitting bookstores now. Go out and get yours. Or order a signed copy direct from PictureBox!

This print comes with the book, signed and doodled-in by Gary.
Gary opened his show “Daydream Trap” at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum on Sunday. We also debuted advance copies of the book there. A good time was had by all. The exhibition consists of two rooms: one for paintings and drawings and another room coated in blacklight chalk drawings, complete with a projected light show.
Here’s the main exhibition room:

Here’s a section of the blacklight room!

Gary signs books in the main exhibition room.

Genius book designer and PictureBox guru Helene Silverman shows off her newest product while Gary air guitars to the virtual psych harmonies.

Gary’s frequent lightshow collaborator Joshua White examines the book, quickly coming upon the lightshow section.

PictureBox’s other guru, designer and historian Norman Hathaway and his daughter, Wilma.

Bride of PictureBox, gallery owner Rachel Uffner models the latest in Panter-chic abstractions.

And then we partied. Look, there’s the elusive C.F.!

Well, almost. Advance copies of Gary Panter arrived at the Brooklyn PictureBox HQ yesterday. Gary was there for a meeting and boy were we excited. That means it’s time to pre-order your signed copy from PictureBox. And don’t forget about the Deluxe Edition and the Hot Burrito Deluxe Edition (details coming soon!)

Yes, that’s overly excited editor/publisher Dan Nadel with Gary and our local Fed Ex man, delivering the very first pallet of the book.
